A botched top-rope float-over roll-up by Snow. They slug it out to start and Snow goes after the arm, smartly. No rules, just chaos. Throughout the match, Fonzy shows subtle support for one guy over the other.
Bigelow and Taz brawl until Taz is restrained again and cuffed. In the case of this show, it took a long time for me to finally see the show, and by then my comments wouldn’t have been timely or original anyway.
Justin Credible v Mikey Whipwreck (****): What a brutal match.
Snow goes up for a bodypress, but Shane rolls through for two.
Just disgusting stuff. Heels and faces celebrate together in an absolutely fucking stupid ending. Dudleyz beat Dreamer and Spike down, untl Sandman returns in a neck brace to finish the match.
Back in, Sabu gets two. Sabu goes back to the knee, and then follows up by legdropping a chair on his head.
But misses…. Triple-jump moonsault misses, however, and Rob gets two. FBI = Little Guido and Tracy Smothers w/ manager “the Don” Tommy Rich.
Oddly enough, they were also the longest-reigning ECW tag champions in history up until 1999, when Raven & Tommy Dreamer, also Wacky Tag Team Partners Who Hated Each Other, eclipsed that record.
And, um, Sabu barely sells it.
Whipwreck takes a nasty bump from the apron onto the outside guardrail. He looked 120 years old on the NWA-TNA shows. Big Dick takes care of Spike, and now Beulah and Sign Guy get involved, but Spike takes 3D. At least it was short. Sabu has most notably competed in Extreme Championship Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling ... Write CSS OR LESS and hit save.
At first, I’d just watch scattered matches/ppvs with no real method to my madness. Basically says the title win is a career in the making. Axl slugs him down, so Storm gives it a try. Sunny shows up for a moment. The Dudleyz get put on the railing and have to stand there for like 30 seconds while Sandman sets up and legdrops them. Douglas clotheslines Snow with the injured arm. Really slow and too many run-ins for an undercard match.
Match begins w/ heels having beer spit into their faces and a botched double team clothesline on Big Dick. A short match that had no chance of being able to follow RVD/Sabu. Basically says the title win is a career in the making. That leads into a general ECW video package. Duel pins. Staff-July 16, 2014. CALL THE PRESS! Bill Alfonso (who manages both men), cuts an interview back stage basically saying he won’t pick sides, and will simply stay with whoever wins the match.
The FBI(Little Guido & Tracy Smothers)-BWO(Supernova & Blue Meanie) tag team match was silly and harmless but nothing really noteworthy.

Francine gets involved and gets taken out, as does Candido. At least he puts over the tile. This came from a rather clever twist whereby Sabu was scheduled to meet Bigelow for the title at this show, and they did a buildup match a couple of weeks before, where RVD would “soften up” the champion for Sabu. Gotta love the “Where’s my pizza?” chants. Shane Douglas is a bad ass for performing as injured as he was. The match itself was slow and sloppy, and all the offense looked weak. He’s being objective, you see. THRILLING. A bunch of heel and face interference. Candido/Storm come to the ring together but then Candido goes back….
He splashes them under the railing and gives both the Acid Drop on the railing, and both he and Tommy give them pescados. Bam Bam carries him back into the ring and pins him at 8:43. They slug it out and Rob crotches Sabu on the railing, but Fonzie won’t help him with the chair spot.
It’s very non feud specific. By. Taz comes out. – ECW World title: Shane Douglas v. Al Snow. Kick out. Storm misses a charge, but gets a superkick for two. 7) Shane Douglas (w/Francine) vs Al Snow. Nothing fancy as Whipwreck has his face smashed into a chair. Elbowdrop gets two.
A little more storytelling would have been nice as the spots were hot and heavy.

Why would either guy want him there if he could potentially double cross them? Credible hits that’s incredible onto a chair for the 3 count. I can’t put my tHHHumb on who he reminds me of, though. That’s usually a bad sign.

Tracy uses the opportunity to attack Meanie in a shocking turn of events, but the FBI collide and Meanie gets two. Snow comes back with a DDT and a clothesline as Joey starts into his “What a classic!” voice. Candido and Axl start, and Candido gets overpowered, but comes back with a hiptoss and armdrag. FBI v Blue Meania & Supernova (**): A solid comedy match at first, but then tries to be more serious. Rob Van Dam (C) v Sabu (*****): There’s psychology, spots, and a great crowd reaction. If that was HHH tending to HBK, the whole show would have drawn to a close. Douglas retains, and the locker room comes out to celebrate the great night. Now, from reviews that I’ve read in the past, this show has a mixed response. Pro Flair crowd as Candido gets a pop for doing the Flair Strut but eats a clothesline right after.
